The purpose of this blog is to keep you informed about what is happening with Faithful Men Ministries (www.fm318.com) and my travels. If you are reading this blog and have never heard of Faithful Men Ministries than here is an introduction:
Faithful Men Ministries was founded in February of 2003 by Jack King (that's me) to continue the ministry established by the “father of men’s ministry”, the late Dr. Edwin Louis Cole (check out his work at www.edcolelibrary.com). I served Dr. Cole faithfully for 15 years as an associate minister with the Christian Men’s Network and after Dr. Cole's death, continued the mandate to reach the men of this generation and generations to come. Not only has the estate and family of the late Edwin Louis Cole blessed and endorsed this ministry but likewise the Christian Men's Network.
God gave two scriptures to me to base the ministry:II Timothy 2:2, "And the things that you have heard from me amongst many witnesses, commit thou to faithful men that they shall be able to teach others also” and Genesis 14:14,16, "Now when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his three hundred and eighteen (that's where the 318 comes from) trained servants who were born in his own house, and went in pursuit. So he brought back all the goods, and also brought back his brother Lot and his goods, as well as the women and the people.”
Faithful Men Ministries works with pastors, churches and other men's ministries to fulfill the great commission, to make disciples of all nations. Edwin Louis Cole began to write books for men in the early 80's. In the late 90's Edwin Cole realized that Pastors needed a curriculum to guide the men through the revelation God had given him. Through his teachings by book, video and audio his ministry reached into 213 nations before he passed away on August 27, 2002. As of this date there are nine books of Edwin Cole's with curriculum available and more to come. Churches and pastors across the United States and around the world are using these tools to disciple their men.
