The original invitation that brought me back to the Baltic nations was from Pastor Vilnis Gleske, Senior pastor of Prieka Vests(Good News) church in Riga, Latvia. Three years ago God allowed me to come to Baltic nations for the first time and He poured out His Spirit on hundreds of people.
Forgivenessreleases, Unforgivenessbinds. that was the message that night. It was August 21, 2003. Their Independence Day is August 20. Set free from communism. The entire country celebrated with fireworks. But this night, there was a freedom they had never experienced until they met met Jesus and received His cleansing power by the Holy Spirit. We shared with them about the freedom Christ gave us two thousand years ago that they could receive right now.
One man had a particularly difficult time saying, forgive me and forgiving his father. I went over to the edge of the platform, reached down, took his hand in mine and said, "this is what Christ said as He hung on the cross for our sins, I'm sorry for the hurts and pain and heartache thats been caused in your heart, will you forgive me?" And then the man was able to ask God's forgiveness and forgive his own father.
As they celebrated the faithfulness of God, I marveled at the abundance of talents and giftings as different ones sang. The video production and flags, it was all a glory to God. In this picture you see the country of Riga on the screen, the Latvian flag and the placards they are carrying says the north, south, east , west. What a joy to celebrate with our brothers and sisters in Christ the (Good News)Prieka Vests.
I realized they were living life more abundantly that Christ promised in John 10:10. It is mind boggling and very humbling that God would allow me to be a part of this in others lives. I began to pray as we opened the evening service and the fear of the Lord began to engulf the entire congregation.
The declaration of the plans from God for each of our lives according to His word as we read Jeremiah 1:5, "Before I formed thee in thy womb, I knew thee, I sanctified thee(made, dedicated, proclaimed wholly) and ordained thee(gave, appointed, charged, placed) a prophet(inspired man) unto the nations(peoples, masses). The same word God had given Jeremiah, He gave to Zimbabwe this summer and now was giving to Latvia believers. Psalms 139:15(amplified) says
, "Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days(of my life) were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them." WOW, before I was formed in my mothers womb, I had substance. And God does have a plan for our lives.
I remembered what Pastor David Frech had declared in Zimbabwe. The enemy might be able to attack your form, but he can't touch your substance, the plan, God has for our lives. We celebrated that truth with an altar call. The harvest was white and plentiful. Many were added to the family of God. To God be the glory.
This is what I remembered as I read the invitation. I was humbled that God would allow me to come back and be a part of His work in Latvia. It was going to be their sixteenth anniversary celebration and they had invited Pastor Ulf Eckman, from Upsala, Sweden. WOW, I thought as
I realized what an impact this man and his ministry has had all across Europe and around the world. I gladly accepted with incredible expectancy of what God would do this time.
We closed with a word of being one in Christ Jesus. Of the necessity that we are our "brothers keeper." we must join hands and hearts with one another as we draw closer day by day to the return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Up next was Pastor Ulf Eckman, it was an honor to meet him again and listen to the word God put in his heart. I will tell you about it tomorrow.

God bless you as we further the cause of Christ in men's lives,
