On February 1, 2003 Faithful Men Ministries began. We just completed our 6th year and it seems like yesterday that I asked God what he wanted me to do after serving Edwin Louis Cole for 15 years. It was very clear to me that I was to continue to do what I had been doing for so long. So I wrote this, "I am called along the side of pastors to help them fulfill the vision and dream God has given them and they can't do it without their men and without strong men."
I guess I could write a book about what God has done and the places he has allowed us to minister to men. Now that I think about it, the blogs I have written since August of 2006 is a monthly chapter of the book about the faithfulness of God.
I feel for 2009 that God is speaking specifically about
First, keep a pure heart and clean hands. Second, stay focused on what the ministry is called to do. Third, walk in the revelation that He directs our steps and nurture the relationships He brings this year and last but not least, wait on him for the places he wants me to go.
One of the doors God has continually opened and kept open is into the prisons. Those men love the ministry and Dr. Cole's material. As you know from our blogs, we have several prisons that the men study the Majoring in Men curriculum and have commissioned men in Kingman, AZ at Arizona State Prison through Mike Kludt.
A prison ministry founded by Mrs ScottieBarnes, Forgiven Ministry, Taylorsville, NC has been in contact with us. They are wanting to use our new book, "Unnatural Act of Forgiveness" & "Murder For Hire" in their weekend seminars with men and women in prison. They do weekend camps where the families of inmates come for the weekend. It is an incredible time for them, especially when they minister forgiveness. I encourage you to peruse their website, www.forgivenministry.orgThey have several great programs for men and women inmates including day camps with their families and seminars on forgiveness. I am looking forward to being a part of their seminars in 2009.
I have to interrupt this blog to bring you an important announcement for 2009.
