As I mentioned previously, it was so wonderful to have Betty with me in South America, Bogota, Columbia and Lima, Peru. The last 13 years that I have traveled to South America, into Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuelala, Columbia, etc. Betty has only been able to go with me twice. Outside of the Holy Spirit, my family is my greatest asset as I travel and minister. Everyone knows about them when I leave their country. So to have Betty with me and for the people to love on her so much is thrilling to me. She fell in love with the people who have loved and ministered to me all these years.
So as we celebrated our 41 years of marriage( we were thinking, this is really a long time) we thank God for those He has brought into our life and befriended us, loved us and ministered to us.
Father's Day weekend was a whirlwind tour into Harlingen, TX Friday and Saturday for a Rio Grande Valley Men's conference with Pastor Jaime Loya at Valley International Christian Center and other churches. Then Saturday afternoon Houston for Father's Day with Pastor Al Cortez and Family Life Assembly of God, Katy, TX. Pastor Al said after wards that the people had no idea there would be a "sneak attack" by God. They were blindsided by God's presence with the love and heart of the Father.
Then the "ice cream " on the cake was commissioning with Pastor G.F. Watkins, Powerhouse Christian Center, Katy, TX. There is absolutely nothing like men being commissioned to begin the fulfillment of the "Great Commission," to go "make disciples."
On Monday morning we drove out to "Jordan Ranch," a Four Star lodge in Schulenburg, TX. I've never been so inspired about something God is wanting to do in pastors and ministry leaders lives as I am now with Jordan Ranch. Go to www.jordanranch.org to get the vision and purpose.
I want to share a few things and few pictures so you can catch the vision and be a part of impacting lives in a deeper way.
(This picturenis a majestic view of the entrance into country elegance as you enter the foyer of the main lodge.)
What Betty & I saw as Pastor GF's dad, Gayle Watkins, gave us the tour, was pastor and ministry couples being refreshed, rested and resurrected in the Lord in a place of peace and full country beauty in the southern hill country just south of Austin. It is actually at the base of a triangle of 3 major cities, just a mile off Interstate 10, between Houston and San Antonio. They will have Encounters with God for pastors and wives, couples, men, women and youth encounters. They even have a wedding scheduled for next year and booked the entire lodge for a weekend celebration( no alcohol either, how about a wedding with no one drunk)
This picture is standing on the veranda of the main lodge looking at one of two sleeping lodges, with access out of each room outside to the pool and great country view. Also each room has it's own central A/C which means no noisy unit in your room like a typical hotel, this is better than a Marriott.
The amenities are incredible but it's the spirit of God that's present that makes this truly a refuge of peace in God's creation.
I plan on having Faithful Men encounters for men and for Pastors & wives. Once the word gets out to the local churches you will have to book this a year in advance. Probably 10,000 churches within 125 miles.
Betty and I and Faithful Men Ministries believe in and are investing in this for what it will do for so many of God's sons & daughters that need refreshing and rest in the Lord.
I am believing God for $250,000 in the next 30 days to help complete Jordan Ranch. That's 250 churches or individuals to give $1000 each, that's only $85 a month.
Would you go to www.jordanranch.org and become a part of a vision and dream come true this summer. Not two years from now, but within the next 60 days.
Then be one of the first to book your getaway conference to have a Jordan experience for your men, women or youth.
One other thing, there is always a nice breeze on this hilltop lodge setting. Now that's a God thing for Texas.
Thanks for dropping by and sharing in the ministry to disciple 10 million men in 10 years, one man at a time.
In His service,
Jack & Betty King
