Where did 2010 go and why so fast? Maybe it's the older I get the faster time flies, but here we are on the eve of 2011 and all God has for us this New Year. I am more excited and driven to fulfill God's purpose than ever before, here's why.
As many of you know I have been battling an ulcerated cornea since the Tues before Thanksgiving, except the battle is not mine but the Lords and we know He already defeated the enemy in every way. So we don't go by what we see, for what is seen is temporal and what is not seen is eternal, II Corinthians 4:18.
I thank God for His word, His patterns and principles in the kingdom. We have been standing and believing Gods healing word and the scripture Paul gave the church in Ephesians 1:17-19, Message bible, "to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally, your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength! "
The Cornea specialists and Ophthalmologist that have been treating me for the last month & seven days talk to me about my sight, vision, scarring of the cornea & cornea transplant. These are thing in the natural, the tangible. I know the closer I get to the victory the more difficult the battle becomes.
I've listened to the report of the Doctors and i thank God for their skills and medical knowledge, but they go by what they see.
So many of you have been agreeing in prayer with Betty and our family, standing on the word, period.
I have asked God to show me, teach me in the spirit as we begin our 8th year of ministry under Faithful Men Ministries in 2011.
Romans 8:28 has been our life scripture, " all things work together for good to them who love God and are the called according to his purpose."
As confirmed in Ephesians, "your calling, your purpose, God's will and plan for your life." The enemy may be able to attack our body but he has no power to change our calling, purpose or God's will and plan for our life.
No matter what we're going through, we must look for God and His purpose for the moment. He said " all things work together for good" but you must look for it , look to Him not what you're going through.
I want to share with you so far the good that has come from this season of my life the last six weeks.
My Optometrists examined my eye on Tuesday, November 23, after 3 minutes he said, you have an ulcerated cornea with the worst bacterial infection I have ever seen, if you don't go immediately to the Parkland Hospital emergency room, you will lose your eyesight within a week. They will probably need to use an IV antibiotic drip in your eye to aggressively treat this. I believed him and went straight to the hospital and was admitted at midnight. The doctor said he wanted me on the eye surgery floor with his other patients. The hospital assigned me to the trauma floor. I told them the doctor wanted me on a different floor, the nurse said we are full , there are no empty beds on that floor. he said we will be administering 3 different antibiotics every 30 minutes 24/7 until we get the infection slowed down. Needless to say there was no sleep that night and the man that was in the other bed was moaning all night and bells and whistles going off all night. I told the nurse, you have to get me in another room, I CAN'T SLEEP! She just turned around and left but i heard the LORD SAY, " I PUT YOU IN THIS ROOM! I found out the man in the other bed had fell 90 feet down through an oil derrick. He had broken so many bones in his body, he was in casts, slings everywhere. All of a sudden my eye was such a minor thing, compared to what this man was going through. When Betty got to my room I told her and she said lets see if we can pray for him. The man and his wife were so receptive and relieved for the prayer and what we shared with him about Romans 8:28. i gave him my book, Murder for Hire & Unnatural Act of Forgiveness. I told him if God would do what He did for me, he will certainly do it for you. God has a purpose and call on your life, take this time to listen what His purpose is for your life and he will strengthen you to fulfill it. WOW, I felt fulfilled and realized God was using something that was meant for bad and turning it to something good. It won't just happen, you have to look for God in those circumstances. He will show you, whether you can see with your natural eyes or not. It's God's purpose for our life to make sure those He brings across our path know God loves them and has a purpose for their life.
Several things have happened in the last month that God has done. i got to pray with my Ophthalmologist when I asked him about his Christmas plans and he said it would be very sad because he lost his grandfather this year. I sent a text to him in Kentucky on Christmas day and he answered me that every part of the prayer had come to pass. Hallelujah!
One last thing, not everything that God has done but very significant.
My doctor has been seeing me every few days and the last time he said the ulcer on my cornea was not reducing in size but changing shape. I said , really? What shape is it now? he said, this is weird, It is the shape of.....AFRICA. I said, wow, thank you. "God is using you to confirm what we are to do in 2011." He was stunned and said, that sends chill bumps all over my body. Hmmmmmmm, get him God!
We have done many commissioning s in Africa over the years but through our new South Africa Director, Clinton Etheridge we will conduct a Faithful Men Conference and commissioning on May 27,28. 2011. You say what's so significant about that? Well, the commissioned men from Zimbabwe, Uganda, Switzerland, Scotland, South America, USA and many other nations will form the arc of swords for the new candidates. This is going to be huge! So many nations coming together in a nation that has divided itself from the rest of Africa and now coming into its own significance in joining men in the worldwide march that Edwin Louis Cole began . The movement? To disciple 10 million men in 10 years. One man at a time, one church at a time, one city at a time, on country at a time until we, " make disciples of all nations......" The Great Commission, Matthew 28:19.

There are spiritual sons all over the world that are "Building Men and Raising Sons."
