Edwin Louis Cole challenged men all over the world. He challenged them to become men, real men, covenant men of God. It made no difference whether he was in Omaha, Nebraska or Riga , Latvia. He declared the truth that "manhood and Christ-likeness were synonymous" and men responded the same, EVERYWHERE!
August 27, 2002, Edwin Cole went home to be with his savior, Jesus Christ.
Last week, on Sunday, August 27, 2006 I was ministering at Hidden Springs Church. Pastor Bill & Jean Tulip were great friends to Dr Cole and the ministry for years. As I stood in their pulpit I realized it was four years to the day. It was hard to continue as I remembered Dr Cole and the incredible impact he had in my life and literally millions of mens lives around the world.
Then we realized how difficult a day it was for the family, Paul, Joann, Lois and the grandkids. I know there are so many men that miss him and continue to honor him and his ministry by continuing to minister the truths God revealed through Brother Cole.
There is still plenty to do and so many men are continuing the ministry as sons.
I stepped out three and a half years ago to continue what I had been doing with Brother Cole, work with pastors and churches to get their men's ministry going or established. There was so much to do and so many nations crying to God for ministry to their men. That was Dr Cole's heart to get the ministry established in over 213 nations of the world and now he is gone.
So many sons have picked up the mantle to carry these truths to men but so many nations have zero ministry to their men and are crying out to God for someone to come.
I have come to realize that the men who were discipled under Brother Cole's ministry and have studied the Majoring in Men Curriculum have a wealth of word for men.
I would dare to say that these men have more word for men inside them than half the pastors in these countries. I know when I minister just the basics of Christlike manhood from the word of God, men still respond. Every nation, every city men are the same. Hungry for truth and waiting for you and I to bring the word God has given us.
If I were Dr Cole I would command you to go. Gosh, I think that's what Christ did when He gave us the "Great Commission," Math 28:19, "Go ye therefore and teach(disciple) all nations(people)....."
I may not be that bold but I do want to challenge you to begin discipling someone. Or go with us to one of the many nations that are crying out to God for men to come minister to them.
There are plenty of men's ministries going into all the world, take your pick, then go!
I leave for the Baltic nations this Friday, September 8-21. It will include men's meetings, prison ministry and church services in several different cities next week in Estonia. Then a sixteenth anniversary celebration at Pastor Vilnis Gleske's church in Riga Latvia. It will be an honor to join Pastor Ulf Eckman from Uppsala, Sweden ministering from the 15th -17th. Then on to Klaipeda, Lithuania for men's conference Monday and Tuesday, 18th and 19th.
The pictures I have posted are from the last time I was in Baltics. I'm expecting greater ministry, in Jesus name!
Would you pray for the men God will bring to the meetings and pray for all the men's ministries that are doing the same thing somewhere around the world during September.
Also, sow a seed. It costs thousands of dollars to travel and minister out of the country. Sow something , not only to this ministry, but to all the men's ministries that have stepped up since Brother Cole's promotion to heaven. We all need your prayers and financial help.
